Graphiste français parmi les plus en vue du moment, Clément Boghossian a gravi les échelons en l’espace de quelques années seulement. Sous le pseudonyme de TENAS, ses créations dépassent aujourd’hui les frontières hexagonales.
One of the most sought-after french designers in the game today, Clement Boghossian has climbed the ranks in just a few years. Known as Tenas, his creations extend beyond France’s borders.
STATION est le fruit d'une collaboration entre TENAS et le groupe de musique SHAHMEN implanté entre Amsterdam et New York.
Dès la première écoute du morceau, l'univers me marqua au fer rouge et me renvoya quasi instantanément sur deux thèmes :
- "l'Asie" pour les instruments à cordes
- "La magie noire" pour la voix profonde et envoûtante.
Mes recherches partirent de ce point, la narration dans mon raisonnement impliquait un personnage, en cohérence avec mes thèmes, mes recherches m'ont mené aux danseurs bouddhistes qui pratiquent la danse du Lotus, leurs tenues possèdent de longues manches et créent l'illusion de bras démesurés.

Pour la partie animation j'imaginais un mélange de danse traditionnelle bouddhiste, kata et hip hop. La chorégraphie a été réalisée depuis des "motion captures" et éditée avec le logiciel Motion Builder. Concernant le décor, la direction artistique a été quo-réalisée avec Samuel MALKA. L'idée était de trancher avec l'univers traditionnel du personnage en insufflant un décor moderne sans oublier la thématique de "l'obscure" par son esthétique fantômatique.
Le signe figurant sur les colonnes et le mur principal est d'origine tibétaine et représente le “Om”. définition Om : Cette syllabe est considérée comme le son originel, primordial, à partir duquel l'Univers se serait structuré.Cette syllabe serait la somme et la substance de tous les mots qui puissent émaner de la gorge de l'homme.
Fort de sens, cette station de métro n'a pas d'issue, seul le métro est un élément extérieur y permettant le passage mais non l'arrêt. Ma volonté était de symboliser la méditation et la recherche de soi même par cette station "fantôme" dont le garde fou en est le personnage.
Exécutant une danse tribale accompagnée de magie noire et blanche, il est l'équilibre entre le bien et le mal au sens manichéen du terme. Les désintégrations du personnage surviennent aux passages de la rame de métro, ma traduction est que la recherche de soi lors d'une vie est infinie, elle est de fait sujet aux éléments extérieurs qui peuvent perturber notre quête...mais jamais l'anéantir.

La vidéo étant déjà réalisée, je recherche avant tout des partenaires pour la diffusion ainsi que toutes stratégies augmentant la visibilité de ce projet.

STATION is the result of a collaboration between TENAS and the music band SHAHMEN from Amsterdam and New York.
When first listening to the song, I was almost instantaneously transported to their universe which resonated two themes:
- "Asia" through the string instrumentals
- "Black Magic" in the deep and enchanting voice
This was my research starting point in my reasoning, the narration involved a character, consistent with my theme, Research led me to Buddhist dancers who practice the Lotus dance. They have long sleeves and create the illusion of excessive arms.
In collaboration with Damien Delenne (character designer) the character took shape.
For the animation, I imagined a mix of traditional Buddhist dance, hip-hop and kata. The choreography has been performed with "motion Captures ". With regards to the decor, art direction was coproduced with Samuel Malka. The idea was to contrast the traditional world of the character by infusing modern decor, while remaining consistent with the theme of "darkness" by its ghostly aesthetic.
The sign shown on the columns and the main wall is Tibetan and represents "Om". definition : This syllable is regarded as the original sound, critical, from which the universe would be structured. This syllable is the sum and substance of all words that can emanate from the human's throat.
Powerful in sense, this station has no exit, only the train is an outside element, which allows to going through but not the stop. My volition was to symbolize meditation and introspection with this ghost station, whose guardian is the character.
Performing a tribal dance with white & black magic, where he is the balance between good and evil in the Manichaean sense. The character disappears when the subway passes, my interpretation is that the search for self in a life is infinite, therefore it is subject to external elements that can interfere with our quest...But can never destroy it.
